Last updated October 3, 2026

This policy explains what ashleymcpherson.com collects, how we use it and the choices you have. In short: we collect what we need to book and hold your call and to stay in touch, we don’t sell your information, and you can ask to see or delete it anytime.

Who we are

ashleymcpherson.com is the website of Ashley McPherson, based in Charleston, South Carolina. In this policy, “we,” “us” and “our” mean Ashley McPherson and the team that supports her work. Questions go to hi@ashleymcpherson.com.

Information we collect

Information you give us

Information collected automatically

Calls

If we’d like to record or transcribe a call, including with an AI note-taking tool, we’ll ask you first, and you can say no.

How we use your information

We don’t sell your information, and we don’t use it to make automated decisions about you that have legal or similarly significant effects.

Text messages

If you give us your mobile number and agree to receive texts, we may text you about your call: confirmations, reminders and scheduling updates. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for help. You can also email hi@ashleymcpherson.com.

We don’t sell, rent or share your mobile number or text messaging consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. All the categories of sharing in this policy exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information won’t be shared with any third parties.

How we share information

We share personal information only with service providers who help us run the site and the business, and only as much as they need to do their job:

We may also share information with professional advisers such as lawyers and accountants, when the law requires it, to protect our rights or anyone’s safety, or as part of a sale or transfer of the business.

We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t share it for targeted (cross-context behavioral) advertising.

Cookies and tracking

ashleymcpherson.com itself doesn’t set cookies. Here’s how each category of cookie applies to the site today:

Because the site sets no optional cookies, it doesn’t show a cookie banner. If we ever add analytics or advertising cookies, we’ll update this policy first and ask for your consent before setting them wherever the law requires it, including for visitors in the EU and UK. You’ll be able to accept, refuse or change your choice at any time, and you can always block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information.

How long we keep it

We keep personal information only as long as we need it, then delete it or make it anonymous. Here’s how long we keep each kind:

We may keep information longer when the law requires it or to resolve a dispute.

How we protect it

We use these safeguards to protect your information:

No website or online service is completely secure, so we can’t promise perfect security.

If there’s a data breach

If we learn of a security breach that affects your personal information, we’ll act quickly to contain it and find out what happened. We’ll notify you without unreasonable delay, and within the time the law requires, by email or another direct method. The notice will explain what happened, what information was involved, what we’re doing about it and what you can do to protect yourself.

We’ll also notify regulators and others when the law requires it, including notifying the relevant authority within 72 hours of learning of a breach where EU or UK data protection law applies.

Your choices and rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to:

Depending on your state, laws such as those in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, Oregon, Indiana, Kentucky and Rhode Island may give you more rights, including the right to opt out of the sale of your information or its use for targeted advertising. We do neither, and we’ll confirm that for you on request.

To make a request, email hi@ashleymcpherson.com with the subject “Privacy request.” We’ll confirm your identity, then respond within 45 days. You can use an authorized agent, and we won’t treat you differently for using your rights. If we turn down a request, you can appeal by replying with the subject “Privacy appeal,” and we’ll answer within the time the law allows. If you’re still not satisfied, you can contact your state attorney general.

Visitors outside the United States

We’re based in the United States, and your information is stored and used here. If you’re in the European Union, the United Kingdom or another region with data protection laws, we rely on your consent, the steps needed to provide a service you’ve asked for, our legitimate interest in running the business, or our legal obligations. You have the rights described above and can complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

This site is for adults. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you think a child has given us information, email us and we’ll delete it.

Changes to this policy

We’ll update this policy as our tools or the law change, and the date at the top will show the latest version. If a change is significant, we’ll say so on the site or tell you directly.
